Mr. Patrick N.A. Masoperh – Patrick’s name is currently one of the best known names associated with gardening/floristry and landscape horticultural know-how in Ghana today! A passionate “planta-holic”, he literally grew up amongst plants and is a formidable storehouse of gardening knowledge. He holds a first degree in Agriculture (Crop Science Option) from the University of Ghana. He was also a postgraduate student of the Department of Horticulture (KNUST) pursuing the Master of Science (Landscape Studies) program. With the extra knowledge garnered here, he started Hortserve Limited and later proceeded to South Africa, where he expanded his knowledge base in Landscape Horticulture considerably.
His work experience began in 1984 as a floral decorator, working with his mother in her business, Greenthumb Flowers. He worked for a year as a research assistant at the Research Farm of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (BNARI) in 1993. The period between 1994 and 1998 saw his aforementioned stint at KNUST.
Patrick has gradually built Hortserve Limited’s client base and reputation, being initially solely responsible for business development, client relationship management, designing, contract supervision and the day-to-day management of the organization. In 2008 Hortserve Limited was renamed Hortserve Landscapes Consult.
Patrick has been responsible for several new trends in the industry today and is a key player in the current Ghana Garden and Flower shows. With his wealth of experience in Landscape Horticulture and Floral design, he is well positioned to lead Hortserve Landscapes Consult to an exciting new level!
